Ken ...... I checked and see that I transcribed the obituary exactly as it was printed in the paper. The surname was consistently spelled Packman in the Dubuque newspaper obituary.

However, after checking for a Charles Packman obit in the Elkader & Guttenberg papers, I found nothing. It appears that you are correct and Tackman is correct. I'll transcribe those obits and post with the correct subject name.
