Register and Argus, 04 Mar. 1915. Littleport column.

J. E. Davis, who has been ailing for the past several years with rheumatism, passed away early Tuesday evening. He had been a very patient sufferer during this long period and he frequently expressed the desire that he might pass away and thus be relieved of his pain and Tuesday evening God answered his appeal and he is now at rest. Mr. Davis has been a resident of this place for the past several years, having moved here from Manchester, his former home. He was a man of bright intellect and had held some county office while at Manchester, we are told. We are without further particulars at this writing.
