Klihem, Fritz 1822 - 1884

Elkader Register, 09 May 1884. Elkport column.

Fred Klehn, who resided in this township, and whose house burned some weeks ago, died very suddenly on Tuesday. He had been at work in the field and was taken with a violent bleeding nose. After trying in vain to stop it, he made his way to the house, where he died in a few moments. His funeral occurred yesterday. He leaves a wife and family to mourn his loss.

(Note: WPA records indicate Fritz Klihem, 1822 - 06 May 1884, buried in Communia cemetery.)
