The victim of self-murder is Joachim Miller, a man well known all over Clayton county, and who has been in the county for the past twelve years. He committed the act on the evening of the 14th about 12 o'clock in a shingle shed belonging to F. Peick and located near the depot. The weapon used was a revolver carrying 22 caliber ball. The bullet entered his head between his eyes and caused concussion of the brain, from the effects of which together with the freezing he received, caused his death. He was not discovered until about half past eight o'clock a.m. on the 15th when he was still alive but unconscious, his arms and legs being badly frozen. He died at 9:40 p.m. Coroner Cain was called and held an inquest, the verdict rendered being in accordance with the facts as above stated.
