Elkader Register, Fri., 22 Feb. 1884. Garnavillo column.

DIED - At the home of his parents, on Saturday evening, William Rhode *, at the age of 18 years. Willie has been suffering from a long and lingering sickness, and finally had to succumb to the grim messenger of death. The funeral is to take place on Wednesday of this week, at one o'clock p.m.; services by Rev. Summerlet, from the Lutheran church. The parents have the sympathy of the whole community in their affliction.
