Elkader Register, Fri., 08 Feb. 1884. Volga column.
Cora, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McNett, died February 1st, 1884, in her third year, from the effects of being scalded a week or ten days before. It was thought for some time that she would recover, but the burns were too severe for the little sufferer. She was a darling little child, the pet of the family. Mr. and Mrs. McNett have the sincere sympathy of all who know them. The little one was laid away in the city cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Elder J. G. Whitford conducted the funeral services, and a large concourse of people were present.
