From the Wed., 1 Mar. 1911 issue of the "McGregor News," Obituary section, page 5, column 4:

Mrs. Iza Tangeman passed away Wednesday morning Feb. 22, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Regina Wehler at West McGregor, at the age of 89 years.

Deceased has been a resident of McGregor for the past ten years. For the last four months she has been confined to her bed, she was tenderly cared for by her daughter and her family during her illness. She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Wehler and Mrs. Louise Winkle [sic: Winkel] who resides in Dubuque and was called here by her mother illness [sic].

The funeral was held from the home on Friday, Rev. Lusk of the Methodist church officating. Many beautiful flowers were sent by friends residing in Dubuque.
