Howard, Alice died 1898

Elkader Register, Thur., 22 Dec. 1898. Strawberry Point column.

The community was pained to hear of the death of Mrs. Dr. Howard, which occurred last Tuesday evening. She leaves a husband and three small children, the youngest being but three weeks old. She had just put the baby to bed when she fell over dead. Heart disease was the cause. The funeral services were held at their home at half past ten, on Wednesday.

Note: Alice Howard, 1st w/o Dr. Fred H. Howard, is buried in the Strawberry Point cemetery
