DIED - At her home on Walton Av., Mrs. Kate Jordan, of inflammation of the bowels, at the age of 65 years.

Deceased, whose maiden name was McBride, was born in Conland, Herrykiel, County Donegal, Ireland, in 1833 and emigrated to this crountry in 1851. She lived in Newark, N.J., New York City, and New Haven, Conn., until 1858 when she came west with her brother and sisters and settled at Faribault, Minn. In 1865 she came to McGregor, where she became acquainted with Edward Jordan whom she married at St. Paul in 1868 and came to this city to live where she has since resided.

Her husband having died in 1889, she is survived by two children, Frank and Mary.

She had been sick but one week during which she suffered great pain, but never complained, being very patient at all times. She was of noble Christian character, a kind and loving mother and good neighbor. She died fortified by the rites of the Catholic church, of which she was a devoted member.

Her funeral took place on Wednesday morning, from St. Mary's church where High Mass was celebrated, Rev. Father O'Donnell officiating.
