Elkader Register, Fri., 17 Mar. 1898.

Friday evening, March 11th, 1898, the spirit of Linda, daughter of Fritz Kruse, departed from this world of trouble. Linda was born March 22, 1891, and when about two weeks old became a member of the family of her aunt Mrs. Henry Schoch, with whom she resided at the time of her death, which resulted from heart trouble. Little Linda was a bright little one, of a most friendly disposition and a favorite with all. It is sad to see these little jewels taken, but who can tell but what it is for the best, however, we can not change the rulings of Providence, but can only mourn and sympathize with those who mourn.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Congregational church. Revs. F. L. Fisk and Mr. Herbener officiating. Amy Himes, Eva Jack, Lydia Feldman and Annie Stemmer acted as pall bearers. The funeral was quite largely attended.
