DIED - At his residence in Farmersburgh, Clayton county, Iowa, March 17th, 1859, Mr. John York, aged fifty years, seven months and 21 days.
The deceased was a native of North Carolina; lived most of his life in Hendricks county, Indiana. Moved to this place about four years since, in which time he has made friends of all whom he met.
In his death, a family of five children are deprived of a kind and gentle father, the community of a useful and honest citizen, the church of which he was a member more than thirty years, of a [illegible] and exemplary member.
His last words were, "I am going to rest, Glory, Glory. Not my will, but thine O God be done."
