Elkader Register, Fri., 26 July 1895. Elkport column.
The little child five months old belonging to S. L. Gibson and wife, who are stopping at the Central House died Saturday morning of stomach and bowel troubles. The little one has been sick some time but was not thought seriously ill until Saturday morning when Dr. Kriebs was called in, although strangers in a strange town, Mr. and Mrs. Gibson have the heartfelt sympathy of our entire community in their sad affliction. The funeral took place Sunday and the little ones remains were laid to rest in Hall's graveyard.
