Elkader Register, Fri., 03 May 1895. Elkport column.

Mrs. Jacob Thein, aged 86 years, died Monday of old age. Mrs. Thein had been a resident of Volga twp., and has many friends who will sadly miss her. She leaves an aged husband and five grown up children to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate wife and mother. The funeral took place Wednesday and was largely attended, Father Dollard officiating. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
