Elkader Register, Fri., 19 Apr. 1895.

Catharine Sullivan, who for many years has been a resident of Elkader, died at her home on the 11th inst. She was born in County Cork, Ireland, about 1823, and came to this country in 1838, and to this county from Cincinnati in 1873. She was a cousin of Mrs. James Rogers and Mrs. M. Flanagan, of Elkader, besides having relatives at Cincinnati. She was a kind hearted neighbor and will be mourned by many friends. The funeral services were held at St. Joseph's on Saturday morning, by Rev. Father Reilly. Peace be with her.
