Died, Saturday, Dec. 9th, 1893, of old age, Conrad Balluf, aged 92 years and 10 days. Mr. Balluf was born in Wurtemberg, Germany, and came to America in 1850, and settled in New York where, in 1853, his wife died. Three years later he, with his family of nine motherless children, emigrated to and settled in Clayton County, where he has since resided. For the past ten years he has lived with his daughter, Mrs. John Putz. Conrad Balluf was an honest, upright man, and leaves this world with no enemies and many friends. He leaves four grown up children to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate father. The funeral took place Tuesday and was largely attended, Rev. Dollard officiating. The bereaved have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
