Elkader Register, Thur., 22 June 1893. Elkport column.

Grandma Hansel, aged 94 years, died last Saturday night of old age. She was the mother of the Hansel brothers, of Mallory township, and was greatly respected. For many years she had been a respected citizen of Clayton county. Although nearly a hundred years old, the family and friends hated to part with her. The funeral took place Monday and was very largely attended. May she rest in peace.
