Elkader Register, Thur., 20 Dec. 1894. Elkport column.

On Sunday occurred the death of Martin Tutter, aged 90 years, at the home of his son, Alex. Meyer. His death was caused by old age. Mr. Tutter has been a resident of Volga twp. for the past 50 years, and was an honest and upright man. He leaves nine grown up children to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate father. The funeral took place Monday, the burial in Kans' graveyard. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
