Mrs. Henry Eckart died at Guttenberg on the 10th inst., at the age of 53 years. The funeral on Sunday last is said to have been the largest ever witnessed at Guttenberg. Her son, Rev. Eckart, delivered a sermon in English and in German. On Monday a requiem high mass was held for the deceased in which Rev. Boeding, of Dubuque, and Rev. Brinkman, of Guttenberg, assisted Rev. Eckart.

Note: Dorathea Eckart, w/o Heinrich, has a large gravestone in the Guttenberg City cemetery.
