DIED - Mrs. Margaret West, born in Salt Soan, Germany, September 24, 1833. Died Oct. 20, 1894. Her death was a surprise to most everyone, as few knew but that she was in usual health. She was a kind lady, known in general throughout the community, but it was hard for her to speak the English language, so but few were intimately acquainted, but all knew and respected this old couple and much sympathy is expressed for the lonely husband, who is left to finish this life's journey alone. They have one daughter, Miss Susie, who resides here. Mr. Cooley preached the discourse at the M.E. church and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery here.
