Elkader Register, Thur., 19 July 1894. Elkport column.

Died, Thursday, July 12, 1894, the little child of Mr. and Mrs. John Costigan, aged 11 months. The little sufferer was sick for the past six weeks and all that kind friends and medical aid could do was of no avail, and the little soul passed to its Maker. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of our entire community in their sad bereavement. The funeral took place Friday and was largely attended, Rev. Dollard officiating.
