Elkader Register, Thur., 07 June 1894. Elkport column.

Mrs. Murphy, aged 75 years, died last Thursday of old age. Mrs. Murphy has lived here many years and was greatly respected by all who knew her. She leaves a son and daughter to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate mother. They have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction. The funeral took place Saturday and was largely attended, Rev. Dullard officiating.
