Elkader Register, Thur., 31 May 1894.
A telegram from Farmersburg states that Wednesday afternoon a boy working for Wm. Lenth's, had committed suicide. Mr. Lenth and his hired man were at Farmersburg and on returning home found the team the boy had been ploughing corn with in the ditch and the boy hanging near by dead. It is supposed that when he got the team down, he got frightened, and taking a hitching strap from the harness, committed the fearful deed. His name was Koehn, and he had but recently arrived from the old country.
