Elkader Register, Thur., 10 May 1894.

Mrs. Louisa Kahlbaum, wife of Wm. Kahlbaum, died in Read twp., on the 3rd, aged 54 years and 7 months, of cancer of the stomach. Besides her husband, she leaves one son and three daughters, all the children being married. Deceased was born in Klein Benster province of Saxony, Germany, was married in 1864 and came to this country with her husband and family in 1872. The funeral was held on Sunday last at Clayton Center.
