Elkader Register, Thur., 30 July 1891.

DIED - At the residence of his son-in-law, Wm. Taake, in Read twp., on July 22d, Friedrich Stratemeyer*.

Deceased was born March 27th, 1811, at Cappelu, Prussia. He came to the United States in 1857 and settled in Read twp.

He leaves a son and a daughter, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral occurred on Friday last, at Clayton Center, Rev. Seifert officiating, and was quite largely attended.
