It becomes our painful duty to chronicle the death of Mrs. Michael Nelligan, which occurred at Helena, Montana, on Tuesday, July 21, 1891. The remains were brought here for interment, arriving Saturday evening, and the funeral services were held Sunday at the Catholic church. The deceased was 30 years of age, daughter of G. L. Gifford. Being born and raised here she was well known and highly respected by all. About two years ago she left here to join her husband in Montana, where he holds a good position on the Northern Pacific R.R. The climate did not agree with her there and was in failing health up to the time of her death. She leaves a husband and four children, the youngest being only two months old, to mourn the loss of a fond wife and kind mother. They have the sympathies of all in their sad afflicton.
