Elkader Register, Thur., 04 June 1891.

DIED - At the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. Eckart, near Brush Creek, Iowa, on Thursday last, Mr. Frederick Heiden, aged 80 years. Deceased was a native of Mecklenberg, Germany, but came to the United States in 1858, locating in Boardman township, where he resided for nearly 30 years. Some three years ago he removed to his daughter's home where he resided until his death. Two sons and three daughters are left to mourn the loss of a kind father. The funeral took place on Sunday last, his remains being laid to rest in the cemetery at Mederville.
