Elkader Register, Thur., 04 June 1891. Guttenberg column.

Mrs. Christian Weiss, aged 70 years, died May 29th, after a prolonged illness and was buried in the city cemetery on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Weiss leaves a husband, a daughter, Mrs. Eckart, and a grandson, Hy. C. Eckart, as survivors. She has been a resident of Guttenberg for forty years. James Schroeder spoke at the grave.

Note: In the Guttenberg City cemetery are buried Granfather and Grandmother Weiss - there are no other names or dates on the markers. More than likely they are Christian & Catherine who are found in Guttenberg census over many years.
