DIED. At McGregor, on Tuesday, June 29th, of Congestive fever, at half past three P.M., Mrs. Henrietta A., consort of Jedediah Brown, aged 32 years.
The death of this amiable woman produced a sorrow the most unfeigned, among all her acquaintances. Eulogy would be wasted in speaking of her virtues to persons of this vicinity.
"None knew her but to love her,
None named her but to praise."She leaves a bereaved husband and two children to mourn her loss.

Lines on the Death of Mrs. Henrietta Brown
"You are at rest and we are in tears."We weep - dear one, for thee we weep!
Thy toil is done, and peaceful is thy sleep,
Life's fitful storms cannot disturb thy breast,
For holy spirits watch thy dreamless rest.We weep! for hearts are desolate and lone,
Without thy gladsome smile and joyous tone,
And thy loved friends now list to hear in vain
Thy gentle voice, amid their broken train. We weep! that we are left to linger still,
On life's dull stage, our labors to fulfill'
While thy feet wander with the spirit throng,
In heavenly courts where joy and peace belong. We weep! and can we e'er thy love forget
Shall we thy absence over thus regret!
Thy virtues long in memory shall be;
And many a heart in love remembers thee.Though other scenes may break fond memory's spell
And friendship new within the breast may dwell,
Though gentle hands may bring life's choicest flowers
And strew fresh hopes in pleasures faded bowers,When recollection wanders o'er the past,
To gather up those gems too clear to last,
Ty image brightest in the mind shall dwell,
Of all the treasured friends we loved so well.~Weekly North Iowa Times, Wednesday, July 28, 1858
