Eunice Loreen Pagan,, 84, died January 24, 1987, after a short illness. Her body was donated to University Hospital, Iowa City, for medical research.

Eunice Pagan was born July 8, 1902 in Highland Township of Clayton County, Iowa, the daughter of Alexander and Tillie (Aamot) Pagan. She graduated from Elkader High School in 1920, then attended Iowa State Teachers College and the University of Dubuque.

She taught in the rural country schools in Clayton County for many years. Also teaching in the school at Clayton, Iowa, retiring in 1952.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother Alex Monroe. She is survived by many cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Bethany Church or Central Community Hospital Lifeline System.
