Elkader Register, Thur., 29 Mar. 1923.
Geoge Miller passed away at his home in Boardman township, Tuesday evening, March 27, 1923, as a result of old age, at the age of 86 years.
He was born in 1837 in Hashiville, County Clevo, Luxenberg, Germany, and came to America about 1862 and settled on a farm. His wife died about 3 years ago, also four children preceded him to the great beyond.
He is survived by four children, Mrs. John Hennes, of Dubuque, and Frank, Julia and Kate at home, also two grandchildren, Merril and Ralph Hennes.
Funeral services were held this forenoon at 10:00 o'clock at St. Joseph's church with interment in St. Joseph's cemetery, Rev. Father Taken officiating.
