Cassutt, George 1851 - 1923

Elkader Register, Thur., 29 Mar. 1923.

George Cassutt passed away at San Diego, California, last Wednesday, March 21, at the age of about 72 years.

Mr. Cassutt was born in Switzerland February 8, 1851. In 1860 he came with his parents to America and established their home in Clayton county.

Last summer Mr. Cassutt sold his residence here and moved to California to spend his declining years.

The remains were brought here Wednesday forenoon and laid to rest in St. Joseph's cemetery.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary and Mary Ann, and one brother, Joseph Cassutt, the two latter accompanying the remains here for burial.
