Elkader Register, Thur., 08 Mar. 1923.
Lawrence William Hill, only son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lawrence Hill, was born Jan. 19th, 1921, and died Feb. 25, 1923, at Rockford, Ill., being 2 years, 1 month and 17 days of age.
The family had but a few months ago moved from this community and it was a sad homecoming this time when they returned to lay away their only child. The little one succumed to measles and pneumonia. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. L. Brock of Fairview at the home of Mrs. Hill's mother, Mrs. Kafar at Elkport on March 1st. Interment was made at Mt. Harmony.
