Word was received last Wednesday evening from Cedar Rapids announcing the death of Mrs. H. H. Opperman, a former resident of this place. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. A. M. Jayne and the remains were brought here Friday morning for interment. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Treadwell of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Anita Chamberlain of Tipton also her aged mother Mrs. Phoebe King of Cedar Rapids and two brothers, A. W. King of Minneapolis and J. R. King of this place and other relatives and friends who sympathize with the bereaved ones. Rev. Maxwell conducted short services at the grave after which the remains were laid to rest beside her son, James Murray Opperman who passed away Dec. 9, 1918.
