The remains of John Schmidt, a former resident of this place but for the past few years of Cedar Rapids, was brought here Friday evening and taken to the undertaking parlors. Funeral services occurred at the M.E. church Saturday forenoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. D. Wells. Interment took place at Mederville. We understand that Mr. Schmidt's illness dates back since last Oct. and death was a great relief to him. Besides the bereaved wife and children he leaves two brothers, Chas. Schmidt of Oklahoma, and Fred Schmidt of this place, and two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Epton and Mrs. Frank Conners of this place.
