Mrs. John Kohnen, of North Buena Vista, was born at Buffalo, New York, March 3rd, 1866, and died Oct _6, 1918. She is survived by a husband and seven children: John, of Dubuque; Mrs. Louis Kound of Dubuque; Mrs. Anne Clemen, of Holy Cross; Christ and Francis, at Dubuque, and Catherine at home; also three brothers; Louis, of Holy Cross; John, of Balltown, and Ben, of Dubuque; and three sisters, Mrs. Jake Riniker, of Buena Vista; Mrs. Conrod Helchler, of Holy Cross and Sister Mary Jacoft, of St. Francis, of LaCrosse, Wis., and nine grandchildren. She was buried here Tuesday morning the Catholic cemetery, the pall bearers being: P. B. Haid, Frank Kinniker, John Giek, Mick Breymeyer, Will Wachendorf and John Engling.
