Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 26 Sept. 1918.

The funeral of Mrs. O. Nelson, formerly Cleophas Shops, took place at St. Joseph's church Elkader, Iowa, Monday, Sept. 23.

Deceased was about thirty-five years old at the time of her death which occurred in a hospital in Chicago, after an illness of nine weeks. She was well known to people in this vicinity, being a granddaughter of the late Joe Collins, and having grown to womanhood here after which she moved to Dubuque.

The remains were shipped from Chicago, Monday noon, after which services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church and burial at the Garnavillo cemetery.

Those in attendance at the funeral from out of town were her husband, O. Nelson of Chicago, Mrs. Tillie O'Neill and daughter Mellitta, Mrs. Margaret Roach and William and Marion, all of Dubuque, and Joe Borrett of Castalia.
