Jimmy Perrine, a bright little boy living north of town, was drowned Sunday, Sept. 8, 1918. He was aged eight years, 11 months, and eighteen days. He was out in a boat, pulling in a trot line; a hook caught in his waist and the weight on the line pulled him overboard. The funeral services were held at McGregor Monday afternoon. This sad accident has cast a gloom over the home of his parents, brothers and sisters.
