Elkader Register, Thur., 10 Jan. 1918.

Hubert Kopp, son of John and Mary (Steen) Kopp, was born at Communia, Iowa, May 11, 1886, and died at his father's home in the same place Jan. 04, 1918, the cause of death being heart failure.

Hubert was one of four children born to Mr. and Mrs. Kopp, the others being Leonora, Elsie and Freddie. They, with their father, survive him. The mother died Sept. 14, 1915, following an operation on the 10th of the month preceding.

His life was spent on the farm with his parents and he was in good health to the day of his death.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 07, at the Evangelical church, Elkader, Rev. C. H. Franke officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery, beside his mother.
