Butters, Roy 1903 - 1978

BUTTERS, KOPPEN, LUNDELL, BOONE

A former Guttenberg resident, Roy Butters, 75, of Minneapolis, died at a Minneapolis hospital Sunday, May 7, following a lingering illness.

Family memorial services were held Tuesday evening at Faith Lutheran church in Marion, Iowa and were conducted by Pastor John D. Huber Jr.

Mr. Butters donated his body to the University of Minnesota for cancer research.

He was a son of Robert and Effie Butters and was born Sept. 6, 1903 in Holy Cross.

Surviving are his wife Irene of Minneapolis; three children, Mrs. Delbert (Eunice) Koppen, Charles Butters and Leland Butters, all of Marion; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Lundell of Marion, Evelyn Boone of Minneapolis, Harry Butters of Marion and Robert Butters of Albert Lea, Minn.
