Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 29 Nov. 1917. Littleport column.

Word was received here Tuesday, of the death of Miss Mayme Liddy, at a point in Montana where she has been teaching the past year, following an operation. The news came as a shock to her many friends hereabouts as no one knew she had been otherwise than in her usual good health. The funeral was held from the Catholic church, Saturday. Burial in St. Joseph's cemetery south of town.
