Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 29 Nov. 1917. North McGregor column.

Mr. Jerome, of Beloit, was here to attend the funeral of his little grandson, Dale Ferris.

(Later in same paper, date and column.)

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Ferris, of Harmony, Minn., were here to attend the funeral of their nephew, Dale Ferris.

(Still later in the same paper, date and column.)

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ferris and children, Elaine and Wayne, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Merle Ferris at Harmony, Minn.

A lengthly obituary in the North Iowa Times, 11/22/1917 (page 4) names him as Arthur Dale Ferris, aged 6 years, 10 months and 3 days. Born Jan. 11, 1911. Died Nov. 14, 1917. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ferris. Known by family & friends as "Dale", burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
