Clarence McMan passed away at the home of his parents Monday morning at 4:00 o'clock, after a few days illness. About two weeks ago he had the ambition to try to pass the examination at Dubuque for the army, but failed there on account of poor lungs and his general health was bad. He leaves his father, mother and three sisters and a brother to mourn his loss. Clarence was nearly 21 years of age. The grades of the school in which the sisters belonged sent a beautiful floral offering and the services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
