Charles Lembke passed away at his home south of Monona, Wednesday night, February 7th, 1917, at the age of _2 years, 3 months and 19 days. Blood poisoning following an attack of pneumonia caused his demise. He leaves a wife, who at the time of his passing was very ill with pneumonia. The surviving children are Alvin, Lorena and Verni. The funeral took place at the home, Sunday afternoon, February 11th, Rev. Otto Wappler, of the German Lutheran Church officiating. Burial in the Monona cemetery. The profusion of fragrant blossoms testified to the deep sympathy which the sorrowing friends expressed for the bereaved family, whose distress is the keener by reason of illness.
