Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 15 Feb. 1917. Monona column.

Abbott Wallace Ruckharber was born September 5th, 1906, and died at his parent's home five miles north of Luana on February 7th, 1917. His illness was of short duration, after four days suffering with acute appendicitis, and he passed from his earthly abode. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ruckharber, six sisters and three brothers. The funeral took place at the home, Rev. Jas. B. Bird officiating, Friday afternoon, February 9th. Burial in the Monona cemetery.
