Hattie M. Scofield was born at Schroone, Essex County, New York, October 2nd, 1834, and died in Strawberry Point, at the home of her brother, on February 7th, 1917. From New York she came with her parents to Strawberry Point in 1865. She made her home here until both parents were dead and then she went to Edgewood, where she made her home with her sister for about five years. At this time she came again to the place where she has been ever since. ___ the past ____ years she has been practically an invalid. Having been a citizen of this community for so many years, her passing will be noted by many _____ . Two brothers of M__ Scofield survive her, George, with whom for ________ she has made her home, and Na_han, of Pocahontas, Iowa. The funeral services were held at the George Scofield home Saturday, February 10th, at 1:_0 o'clock, conducted by C. _. Harr__, of the Congregational Church. Burial at Strawberry Point cemetery.
