Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 07 Oct. 1909.

Anna Marie Geraghty was born on the 7th day of April and died Oct. 2nd, 1909, at the family home in Read twp., aged nearly six months. She had always been well until Tuesday, Sept. 28th, when she was taken ill and in spite of everything possible that willing hands, prompted by loving hearts could do, on Saturday the death angel came quietly, noiselessly, and the young life peacefully passed away. Her broken hearted parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Geraghty, and other relatives have the sympathy of this community in the loss of their household pet., but they may be comforted in the thought "Suffer little children to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Funeral services were held Monday, interment in the Catholic cemetery at Elkader.

She has gone, our little pet, to that
happy home above.
Gone from us but she's with Jesus, she
is happy in his love.
Oh, we miss you our sweet baby, and it
seems our hearts would break.
But from pain we know she's free and
it's all for Jesus sake.
