Mrs. Dorothy Musfelt, wife of H. H. Musfelt, died at her home on Monday afternoon, September 13th, at the age of 44 years and four months, after a lingering illness of eight months. Dorothy Spangenberg was born in Cook county, Ill., May 15th, 1865, and came with her parents to Iowa when quiet young. She was united in marriage to H. H. Musfelt Oct. 8th, 1891. To this union three children were born, viz.: Jennie, Ralph and Lawrence. They lived in Greeley, Iowa, the first year, and since then they have resided on their farm in Volga township. Mrs. Musfelt was a consistent member of the Lutheran church and was a kind, indulgent mother and a devoted wife. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, and three children, viz., Jennie, aged 15 years; Ralph, aged 8, and Lawrence, aged seven, two brothers, Henry Spangenberg, of Delaware county, and Fritz, of Franklin county, and one sister, Mrs. Wm. Ortman, of Elkport. Her remains were laid to rest in the Musfelt cemetery, Rev. Linnenbuerger officiating.
