Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 23 Sept. 1909. Clayton column.

Mrs. Hochhaus died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 19th, after an illness of several weeks, at the age of 83 years. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gristher, Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in Clayton cemetery.
