Mary Magdalene Klingle was born in Freiberg, Germany, June 26, 1860, and departed this life Sept. 3rd, 1909, aged 49 years, 2 months and 7 days.

In 1881 Miss Klingle emigrated to America, and on July 3rd of the same year, she was united in marriage to John Licht, at Monona, Iowa, where they have since resided. Mrs. Licht leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, four children, Mrs. Anna Schaffer, of Giard, Iowa; John Jr, Mary and Frank at home, and one brother still living in Germany. Mrs. Licht was a most loving and devoted wife and mother, always anxious for the comfort and welfare of her family, a true Christian, ever eager in doing that which she believed to be her duty, and was a kind, good neighbor who never wronged one either by word or deed. Her untimely death is sincerely mourned by all who knew her, and to the bereaved family is extended the sympathy of all.

The funeral was held Sunday, Sept. 5th, in the Catholic church, burial in the Catholic cemetery.
