Thos. Geske, for thirty years an employee of the Milwaukee road, and of late night flagman at the crossing at North McGregor, was killed last Friday morning at the West Yards. He went home on a switch engine, as his home is near the west yard on a farm, and in getting off the engine, stepped a little too close to the main line track and way freight engine, No. 866, Henry Vaughn, engineer, struck him and knocked him down, his head striking the rail. He leaves a wife and five children.
